Life's Little Playground is a fun abstract with super heavy textures and bold colors. As you know, I rarely start with an idea of something specific for the canvas. Instead, I begin with a color palette and it happens from there. Everything is spontaneous. This was created both throwing paint and using various papers to create extra textures. Towards the end, I added some mark making and it began to take on a life of its own. Something about one of the marks reminded me of a playground from my youth. I simply went with that, enhanced it and tried to refine it a bit. I personally love the magenta and periwinkle together and the deep ink blue sets it off. I think it's a good reminder to us as adults to always set aside some time for play. Life is hard. We need to lighten up every now and then to enjoy life. It is fleeting. This one is framed in a black, contemporary floater frame and is ready for your space.
